Location: Remote (home based) – UK only
Other: permanent, full-time, remote, with 10 % domestic & international travel

Join a high‑performing team of driven professionals focused on closing the gap between marketing and sales by generating leads and supporting targeted outbound campaigns. We are a motivated team committed to driving business growth and partnering closely with sales across multiple product lines.

We are seeking a Business Development Representative for our UK team who wishes to progress their career long term with Thales. You will have proven success in enterprise lead development or sales, ideally from a software, SaaS, or cybersecurity background, with experience in application and data security business development. You will bring strong proficiency in Salesforce and outbound prospecting tools, the ability to manage enterprise‑level deal cycles (£10K–£5M), and a solid grasp of qualification methodologies, supported by demonstrated analytical and communication skills and the capability to operate effectively across Financial Services or Technology sectors in cross‑functional, customer‑facing environments.

Reporting to the BDR Manager, you will help shape the first‑contact experience, using digital outreach and prospecting tools to engage potential customers. You will collaborate with both our marketing demand teams and sales executives to ensure a seamless and positive customer journey. The role involves speaking with C‑level leaders at Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 organisations across the region, giving you the opportunity to build strong communication skills that will support your long‑term career development.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Articulate the value proposition to C‑level decision‑makers across multiple sectors to gauge buying interest and strengthen consideration

  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly targets, including marketing‑generated leads, qualified meetings, and activity metrics

  • Work closely with sales teams in key regions to jointly develop account strategies and drive penetration into large enterprise accounts

  • Use Salesforce.com and associated applications daily to manage lead data and maintain high standards of data accuracy

  • Contribute to pipeline growth by supporting and executing targeted marketing campaigns

  • Generate pipeline opportunities through an account‑based marketing approach

  • Carry out additional marketing‑related tasks as required to enhance the overall customer experience

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (not essential)

  • Consolidated experience in a similar role involving enterprise lead development, lead generation, or enterprise sales and business development (SaaS or security experience advantageous) with measurable success

  • Proven proficiency in Salesforce.com and other sales‑automation or prospecting tools

  • Demonstrated capability using outbound prospecting tools such as Salesforce, 6sense, Drift, Zoominfo, Outreach, etc

  • Proven experience managing enterprise‑level deal cycles

  • Acquired solid understanding of qualification methodologies

  • An autonomous self-starter with demonstrated analytical ability and excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams and customer‑facing environments

Security Clearance

Successful candidates will be required to meet Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) requirements, including proof of identity, right to work in the UK, and employment/education history checks.
