Business Development Director shall address markets:

  • Business Development for defined Thale’s portfolio in the Philippines.   
  • Defense domain as key focus and support to Civil domain.
  • Strategy and commercial
  • Closely working with the Country Director to support the group’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of customer relations in order to position the full Thales portfolio to the customers / end-users and generate short to long-term opportunities.
  • Develop close and fruitful partnership with the local Industry ecosystem
  • Build strategic Business Capture plans in cooperation with the Thales Exporting Units
  • Be a key contributor to identify and then qualify opportunities, define and implement winning strategy, with relevant associated action plans. Participates actively to opportunity and tender reviews.
  • Provides all necessary information on market analysis, competition, business risk and opportunities. Monitor and updates business pipe data in coordination with Exporting units.
  • Provides information on the evolution of customer’s organizations and decision-making processes.
  • Contributes to the customer satisfaction thru-life of systems and cooperates to the proper program execution (maintenance, training, etc.)
  • Provides input for company strategy and develops the Key Accounts Plans

Experience:

The job holder needs:

  • >Globally 10 - 15 years’ experience in the Defense domain
  • Preferably retired Col or Mejor from DND and currently working in the industry.
  • Master’s degree or similar, business or engineering school or recognized rank from the forces.
  • Some experience in Business Development/Sales for high value solutions.
  • Some experience in dealings with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills:

  • Ability to manage, listen, communicate and interact with multiple cultures, personalities and across functional and horizontal layers of key decision makers (internally as well as externally)
  • Highly motivated to operate in a complex business environment
  • Ability to share knowledge and work in an excellent team spirit
  • Ability to rapidly acquire deep knowledge and capacity to present the Group’s offers to customers.
  • Capacity to transfer knowledge of local environments to Western interfaces
  • Ability to strategize in a new market/country and proof of successfully making it into a reality.
  • Full fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in building effective, incisive power point presentations.
  • Strong business ethics
  • Team player

The position is located in Manila Philippines, reporting to the Country Director for Philippines.
