About Tandem
Tandem is building a multi-modal AI office space broker, capable of walking people through every step of their office search in an automated, personalized and scalable way. The way office space works and the industry behind it is getting completely flipped on its head right now. We are in the middle of a MAJOR disruption driven by three things:
- Over 50% of office space is currently sitting empty in US cities.
- Hybrid and remote work are here to stay. The five-days-in-the-office workweek is going away forever for many, many, many jobs.
Check us at out tandemspace.com. We match, service and enable companies every day to find their perfect office space, and we’re just getting started.
We’re a small, experienced team - currently we have 15 full time employees. Expect a fast-paced environment where you’ll learn a TON and have significant ownership beyond engineering - you’ll constantly be in discussions about things like product, design, strategy, etc. You will report directly to the CTO, who is highly technical (ex-Google, 3x CTO, 2x YC).
Expect to ship: You will be building customer-facing features to help other VC-backed startups find office space. This includes working on web features backed by AI pipelines, growth-hacking by building shareable content and SEO/AEO magnet features, internal AI-powered dashboards for office matchmaking, and more.

What to expect:
- A short paragraph about something you've built, hacked together, or made happen on your own. Doesn't need to be impressive in scale — we care about specificity and resourcefulness, not pedigree.
- A 60-second video walking us through what you described. Think YC founder application video in style: talking head, no edits, no script. Just you explaining it like you'd explain it to a friend. Examples: https://www.ycombinator.com/video
We review applications on a rolling basis. Final deadline is June 15, 2026.
