Software Engineer (India)

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in software development and an excellent grasp of low-level and cloud technologies.

As a Software Engineer at Strac, you'll build cutting-edge full-stack technologies that will transform the way businesses scan and remediate sensitive data across various SaaS, Cloud, Gen AI, Browsers. Through high ownership, you’ll help expand our product offering to cover more third-party integrations. You'll work closely with core platform engineers to connect these integrations in a concise, scalable, and resilient manner.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software solutions, focusing on security, compliance, scalability, and performance
• Develop and optimize network solutions
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate on machine learning projects, including data preparation, model building, and implementation
• Write clean, scalable code using programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Java
• Work within AWS cloud architecture, designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems

Minimum Qualifications

• Deep proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Python, or Java
• Strong experience using AI-native development tools like Claude Code, Cursor to accelerate coding, debugging, and refactoring
• Hands-on experience using AI/ML tools (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases) and integrating AI into production systems
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts such as LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Expertise in AWS services (Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB, RDS, ECS, ECR, SQS) and AWS networking (VPC, Subnets, ALB, IAM)
• Experience with scalable architecture design, APIs, and both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and debugging skills
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-ownership, collaborative, fast-paced environments
