Receiving Inspector (Starship) - Multiple Shifts

RECEIVING INSPECTOR (STARSHIP) - MULTIPLE SHIFTS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and profilometers.
  • Approves or rejects items and documents inspection results as required.
  • Performs documentation review and verification of certifications, specifications, and conformance to design and specification requirements.
  • Communicates with internal customers and suppliers as required to resolve inspection discrepancies.
  • Use an electronic ERP system to route parts and components to the proper departments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Capable to operate a forklift and other related inventory equipment.
  • Experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fields.
  • Aerospace precision mechanical inspection experience
  • Experience detecting design and drawing flaws.
  • Receiving and in process inspection experience is required.
  • Requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications using ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience with GD&T and use of metrology tools and gauges required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
  • Ability to work overtime, and/or weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
  • Ability to work one of the following shifts:
    • Monday to Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm
    • Monday to Friday 4:00pm - 2:30am
    • Friday to Monday 6:00am - 6:00pm
    • Friday to Monday 6:00pm - 6:00am

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
