At Sohar Health, we are a mission driven team using data to make healthcare more accessible and equitable. With investors such as Y Combinator, Kindred Capital, and Rebel Fund, we are a VC backed company building the infrastructure layer for frontend Revenue Cycle Management.
Our API based platform helps healthcare providers and technology platforms improve patient access, increase conversion, and streamline insurance workflows through accurate, real time eligibility and benefits data.
We have spent the last three years building a strong product and landing meaningful enterprise customers. We are now focused on scaling our market presence and becoming a category defining company within healthcare RCM.
Role Summary
We are hiring a Head of Marketing to build Sohar’s marketing function from the ground up.
This is not a traditional marketing leadership role. You will work directly with the CEO to define our go to market strategy, establish Sohar’s market presence, and position the company as a clear leader within its category.
You will be responsible for increasing awareness within our target ICP, driving high quality inbound demand, and building structured nurture and account based strategies that convert target accounts into pipeline.
This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will move from defining positioning and ICP to launching campaigns, shaping content, driving conference strategy, and building ecosystem relationships.
This is a 0 to 1 role with full ownership of marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Define go to market strategy and positioning
Partner closely with the CEO to shape Sohar’s positioning and go to market strategy. Establish clear ICP definition, messaging, and prioritization.
Establish market presence
Increase Sohar’s visibility across high leverage channels including conferences, partnerships, and industry ecosystems. Ensure consistent exposure to target buyers.
Drive inbound pipeline
Build and scale inbound demand from target ICP segments. Focus on improving quality of leads and conversion into pipeline.
Increase awareness within target ICP
Ensure Sohar is consistently recognized within its target market and included early in buying processes.
Build nurture and account based campaigns
Design and execute structured nurture and account based marketing strategies targeting high value accounts. Track engagement and conversion into MQL and pipeline.
Own conferences and events strategy
Identify and execute high impact conference and event opportunities with clear ROI in terms of pipeline and relationships.
Develop content and thought leadership
Create content that positions Sohar as a credible voice in behavioral health, revenue cycle, and healthcare infrastructure.
Collaborate cross functionally
Work closely with sales, product, and leadership to ensure alignment on ICP, messaging, and pipeline quality.
Qualifications
- 7 to 12 years of experience in B2B marketing, with a strong product marketing foundation
- Experience within healthcare RCM, healthcare infrastructure, or API first SaaS preferred
- Strong strategic thinking around go to market and market positioning
- Deep understanding of enterprise buying behavior
- Experience operating in a 0 to 1 or early stage marketing environment
- Demonstrated ability to build inbound and demand generation from scratch
- Experience with account based marketing or structured nurture campaigns is a strong plus
- Experience working closely with founders or senior leadership teams
- Ability to operate hands on across both strategy and execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $150,000 – $200,000 per year.
Interview Process
Interview Process – Head of Marketing
Our interview process is designed to assess how you think about market positioning, demand generation, and building a marketing function from the ground up.
The process consists of four stages:
1. Introductory Call (15 minutes)
A short conversation with the CEO to understand your background, experience, and interest in Sohar.
This is also an opportunity for you to learn more about the role and ask initial questions.
2. Outcome Based Interviews (3 x 30 minutes)
You will meet with members of the leadership team across three focused conversations. Each interview is centered on a specific outcome for the role.
Market presence and inbound growth
Discussion on how you have built visibility and driven inbound activity within a defined ICP. Focus on channel selection, prioritization, and measurable outcomes.
Product marketing and ICP awareness
Discussion on how you have defined positioning, shaped messaging, and increased awareness within a target market. Focus on influencing perception and early inclusion in buying processes.
Nurture and pipeline conversion
Discussion on how you have built structured nurture or account based campaigns that convert engagement into pipeline.
3. Final Interview and Presentation (60 minutes)
You will present your perspective on Sohar’s market opportunity and a high level 90 day plan.
We are looking to understand:
- How you define ICP and positioning
- How you would build market presence and inbound
- How you approach awareness within target accounts
- How you design nurture and account based strategies
- How you prioritize in a 0 to 1 environment
This session is interactive and includes time for discussion with the team.
4. References
We will speak with previous managers or colleagues to understand your experience working in early stage environments, your level of ownership, and your impact on business outcomes.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who can combine strong product marketing thinking with hands on execution. This role requires ownership, clear judgment, and the ability to build from scratch in an ambiguous environment.
