Active and existing security clearance required after day 1Be a leader in Multi-domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) Operations. This role will serve as a manufacturing and operations lead for a critical program transitioning to production, as well as for the Mission Aligned GPS Systems (MAGS) sub-portfolio of programs.
This role is responsible for driving Manufacturing Strategy, Planning and Execution for the sub-portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Manufacturing Operations in the defense industry and must have experience leading New Product Introduction and Transition to Production of complex programs. The candidate must have strong working knowledge of proposal development systems and will be responsible for presenting comprehensive strategies on Manufacturing Plans and how the efforts are proposed to customers.
The Candidate will support classified & unclassified programs within a technically diverse portfolio of complex products.

What You Will Do
Act as the primary Operations focal for all Manufacturing and Operations content on a portfolio of existing production & new development programs that have a planned transition to Operations
Partner and collaborate with Program Office, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain throughout the product life cycle
Responsible to manage Operations cost and schedule performance for full-rate production and new development deliveries through strategic development efforts and execution of New Product Introduction processes and procedures
Engage with Engineering and Supply Chain on requirements flow down for Operations and Supply Chain partners
Engage in Program Test and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews to ensure alignment to manufacturing plans and support of factory requirements
Apply improvement strategies across multiple programs and develop process improvement opportunities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness
Influence product designs to achieve cost and schedule targets through active support to Design to Cost (DTC), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Test (DFT) by optimizing cost drivers such as electronics producibility, test automation, test & manufacturing yield
Lead development teams through Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and coordinating actions/mitigation plans in accordance with AS9145 (APQP)
Provide active support to Supply Chain Management by identifying materials constraints and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations
Direct and coordinate sequencing of work in partnership with Manufacturing, such as build and delivery, to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources
Partner with internal customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure customer satisfaction
Ensure quality, cost, schedule, and inventory goals are achieved in a manner consistent with the overall business plan
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Experience collaborating across functional teams in a robust matrixed environment
Leader capable of influencing change, including shopfloor personnel, internal executive leaders and external customers
Proven Experience in Transition to Production & Manufacturing Plans, including electronics producibility, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) / Design for Automation (DFX) and manufacturing cost modeling
Experience developing program production schedules & identifying manufacturing risk & opportunities
Working knowledge of SAP / PRISM or equivalent Material Requirement Planning (MRP) systems
Familiarity with Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Competence with Microsoft Office Suite with proficient knowledge of Excel
Domestic travel up to 25%
Qualifications We Prefer
Wide-ranging leadership experience in matrixed program management, including Manufacturing Operations and/or Engineering
Experience leading Manufacturing Readiness Assessments and Production Readiness Reviews
Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) and Transition to Production (T2P) in Defense or commercial products
Experience with RTX’s Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) operating system
Working knowledge of Pro Pricer or equivalent tools, learning curves, application of rates and costs in government contracting
Experience supporting fact-finding and negotiations with DCMA and Government customers
Experience and mastery of Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA), PFMEA, PPAP and APQP
Proven Experience developing proposals and Basis of Estimates
Proven Experience in Earned Value Management & Certification
Experience in lean manufacturing and Six sigma
Expert knowledge of Excel

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
