We are seeking a smart and energised Senior IT Administrator who is looking to take the next step in their career, helping shape Service Delivery and deliver customer excellence at our Henderson and other supported WA locations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an enthusiastic and energetic person who loves going above and beyond to exceed support expectations daily. Proactive and responsible, your planning skills will ensure your success in meeting customer expectations; staying one step ahead of customer requirements. Looking after our internal staff, across a number of corporate and Defence locations in WA, means you will be centre stage in representing IT.

Excellent communication skills will ensure you interact with your customers effectively and always follow through. You will have experience working with VIP and executive teams, Defence personnel, and knowledge of Defence IT systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing support, not only onsite at our Henderson location, but to our remote sites, and you will also be part of a team supporting all Raytheon Australia personnel across the enterprise. Working closely with the Service Delivery Manager, you will help shape the delivery framework and drive change in the Workplace Services Team. It is imperative that you are a motivated self-starter who can plan and organise their work with very limited supervision and deliver quality outcomes on time in line with our IT processes and approved technology landscape.

You will work with local Raytheon Australia employees and be backed with national and global IT expertise, as well as a tailored professional development program to ensure you and your work are successful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address the day-to-day IT support needs of end users by providing exceptional support for incident, service request, and problem management
  • Attend to end user requests by phone, walk-ups, and online ticketing systems
  • Manage IT requirements across a number of sites in WA, coordinating with staff your work and outcomes for end users 
  • Support senior executive leadership team and VIPs with outstanding IT Customer Service and a can-do attitude.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to coordinate successful roll outs, upgrades, meetings and new technology integrations.
  • Maintain, support and provision desktop hardware including PCs, Laptops, Mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals
  • Work with suppliers and vendors for relevant IT technical systems as required.
  • Support audio visual incidents and staff requests
  • Assist in asset management and disposal processes
  • Maintain and update documentation as required, including, but not limited to End User Work Instructions, Self-Help guides and technical documentation for inclusion into the Knowledge Base
  • Manage stock onsite and work with the greater IT team on IT Hardware resourcing
  • Assists with queue monitoring and management for the team, assigning work and addressing aged tickets. Providing guidance to junior team members and assistance with technical knowledge
  • Contribute to process improvement ensuring processes are updated in line with current policies and improvements identified and documented
  • Maintain operational security processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Provides advice on defining access rights and the application and operation of elementary physical, procedural, and technical security controls.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a technical IT support and customer facing role
  • Display exceptional communication and presentation skills with a willingness to learn and provide an innovative approach
  • Completed studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline
  • Experience supporting Office 365, Windows 11, and Active Directory technologies
  • Experience supporting meeting room Audio Visual Equipment, troubleshooting and end user support
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Exposure to Microsoft SCCM Co-Management and Exchange Hybrid environments
  • In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • A proven track record of successful IT Asset Management – to support the entire lifecycle of IT assets on site, including routine audits, procurement, system upkeep (i.e. patching, repair work, etc), records management, stock-taking and approved destruction and disposals.
  • Experience creating technical Knowledgebase Articles (KBAs) for peers to utilise, along with reviewing and updating KBAs and processes to ensure that they remain accurate and up-to-date.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management principles, processes, and best practices within an ITIL environment.
  • Must hold an Australian Driver’s license, travel to other sites will be required and reimbursed
  • Some travel may be required (within the state of WA on a regular basis and occasionally interstate where required). A driver’s licence is essential for this role. 
  • Experience in DSN/DPN installations at Industry sites highly desirable
