The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

Join the Automations and AI team at RTX and play a central role in driving enterprise-wide transformation across business functions in a leading defense and aerospace organization.  As a Senior Business Analyst with a focus on business process management (BPM), you will partner with the business to elicit, analyze and document business and functional requirements, optimize processes, and translate needs into thoughtfully architected technology solutions.  Technical teams and business stakeholders alike will rely on you to transform complex concepts into shared understanding, leading to a great collaboration and an exceptional final product.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as a trusted partner between business stakeholders and technical teams

  • Lead requirements workshops, asking thoughtful questions to uncover true business needs

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization while anticipating and mitigating risks

  • Translate and document business needs into concise functional requirements and clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Manage requirements traceability and changes throughout the delivery lifecycle

  • Author detailed test scripts and ensure test coverage aligns with documented requirements

  • Support User Acceptance Testing and planning, including testing materials, coordination and defect triage

  • Support Agile and Hybrid delivery models utilizing JIRA for requirements management

Expectations of the Role:

This is a senior individual contributor role, and it demands the ability to work independently on complex projects, take ownership of ambiguous or high-impact assignments, and proactively engage stakeholders without extensive direction.  The Senior IT Business Analyst will be relied upon for their judgement, and is expected to communicate their positions clearly and confidently to business partners and peers alike.  They will set an example for junior teammates by following best practices and are expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of those practices.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of applicable experience with at least 2 years of experience focused on business process management (BPM) or automation & AI

  • Expertise with agile methodology and software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) models

  • Prior experience writing requirements as clear, well-structured User Stories with concise, testable acceptance criteria

  • Prior experience eliciting and documenting functional requirements for digital solutions

  • Experience using project management software, specifically Jira

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
