Collins Aerospace is seeking to hire a Maintenance Mechanic I that will support our SFS, CA location. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, performing minor repairs, assisting with major repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance inspections on all production machinery, production systems, and plant support equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The Maintenance Mechanic I will work collaboratively with site teams to support operational uptime and continuous improvement efforts.

What you will do:

  • Work 2nd Shift Hours (5pm – 5am) 3days on & 2days off rotating shifts.
  • For Training Purposes, you will work 1st shift hours (5am-4pm) Monday – Friday for up to 90 days
  • Occasional shift rotation as needed from Day & Night shift
  • Perform minor repairs and equipment installations within job classification capabilities.
  • Assist with diagnosing mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions using standard troubleshooting techniques, schematics, manuals, and guidance from higher-skilled personnel.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, and meters to support equipment diagnostics and repairs
  • Lubricate machinery and equipment in accordance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommendations.
  • Perform general facility maintenance tasks including pipe fitting, plumbing, and minor electrical work to support production operations.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, when required.
  • Maintain tools and equipment by returning items to proper storage locations and reporting missing or defective tools to supervision.
  • Monitor spare parts and supply inventory levels and notify supervision when replenishment is required.
  • Handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste, including support of designated 90-day storage areas, in accordance with EH&S requirements
  • Comply with all EH&S policies and procedures, including PPE usage, housekeeping standards, training requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including water treatment support, chemical spill response, minor facility repairs, and assisting peers.
  • Preforms other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically, a HS Diploma or GED is required with some relevant experience
  • Experience utilizing MS Office / Excel
  • Experience using general hand/ power tools

The pay range for this role Is $50K – $65K however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
