Role Overview

This position is for an Entry-level Procurement professional. Carries out processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis. Works with buyers in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and / or services.

Primary Responsibilities:

1.Carries out processes and standards in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.

2.Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.

3.Insure timely processing of purchase requisitions, order releases.

4.Compiles records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories, analyzes data and ensures account needs are met.

5.Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.

6.Coordinate the resolution of non-conforming goods, and/or services, and delivery recovery planning.

7.Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with specific suppliers.

8.Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.

9.Perform delivery assurance responsibilities.

10.Attend and have participation in group meetings, transoceanic teleconferences and/or training required.

11.Support project management activities.

Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
