About Us
Reforged Labs (YC W22) is building the AI-powered creative intelligence platform for mobile marketers and user acquisition teams. Backed by Y Combinator and DCM, our flagship product, Boa, analyzes ad creative performance across the market and helps teams understand what’s working, why it’s working, and what to create next. By integrating MMP data, market intelligence, and proprietary AI agents, Boa predicts and suggests ad creatives with higher hit rates.
In our latest case study with Supercell, 80% of Boa’s ads outperformed Supercell’s own control ads. Teams using Boa ideate, produce, and iterate on ad creatives 2–3x faster while improving ROAS. Our team brings backgrounds from Google, Microsoft, and Harvard.
We are in a period of rapid acceleration: we’ve grown from 1 active pilot to over a dozen in just two months, with multiple enterprise customers already on board. The product is working. Now we need someone to build the sales engine around it.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Founding Account Executive to become the first dedicated sales hire at Reforged Labs. This is not a role where you inherit a playbook, a pipeline, or a team. You will build all three. And as the company grows, you will have a clear path to leading the sales organization you create.
Our CEO currently leads sales and will continue to drive prospecting alongside you. Your job is to bring rigor, repeatability, and velocity to the sales motion while preserving the founder-led authenticity that has gotten us this far.
Typical deal structure is a 3-month paid pilot that is converted into a 6-figure ACV enterprise contract. Sales cycles range from 3–6 months. Customers are enterprise mobile gaming, e-commerce, and fintech companies that spend heavily on paid user acquisition and direct response advertising.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from first outreach through close for enterprise accounts, targeting CMOs, VP/Director-level UA, Growth, and Marketing leaders.
- Build and manage your own pipeline through a mix of outbound prospecting, inbound qualification, and conference/event networking within the mobile marketing ecosystem.
- Develop and codify the sales playbook: discovery frameworks, demo flows, objection handling, competitive positioning, and proposal templates that future AEs can inherit.
- Partner directly with the CEO on high-value deals and strategic accounts, bringing structure to a founder-led sales motion without slowing it down.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product insights, working closely with the product and engineering teams to shape the roadmap around real buyer needs.
- Define and track key sales metrics (pipeline coverage, velocity, conversion rates, deal size) and report regularly to leadership.
- Represent Reforged Labs at industry events, conferences, and within the mobile UA community (MAU, GDC, Pocket Gamer Connects, and similar).
- As the company scales, hire, onboard, and manage the next AEs and SDRs, growing into a sales leadership role.
Your Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of closing experience in B2B SaaS sales, with at least 2 years selling into enterprise accounts at $50K+ ACV.
- Direct experience selling to marketing, growth, or UA teams at companies that run significant paid acquisition or direct response ad spend. AdTech, MarTech, creative analytics, or attribution experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record as a top performer: consistently at or above quota, with specific deal examples you can walk through in detail.
- Comfortable operating as the first sales hire in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment. You have done this before or been among the first 3–5 sellers at a startup.
- Strong enough to constructively challenge a founder-CEO on sales process, deal strategy, and prioritization. You bring opinions backed by data, not deference.
- Technically curious. You can learn a complex AI product deeply enough to run a consultative sales process without relying on a sales engineer for every call.
- Excellent at pipeline generation. You do not wait for inbound. You build relationships, work events, run targeted outbound, and create your own opportunities.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a hybrid role with meaningful in-person time.
Nice to Have
- Existing relationships within the mobile gaming, e-commerce, or fintech UA community.
- Familiarity with mobile measurement partners (Adjust, AppsFlyer, Singular, Branch) and the ad creative production workflow.
- Experience selling AI/ML-powered products where the value proposition requires educating the market.
- You have sold successfully against entrenched incumbents in the marketing space (e.g. MMPs, BI tools, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $120K–$150K depending on experience.
- On-target earnings (OTE): 50/50 split base/variable.
