About the Role
Reditus Space is looking for a Manufacturing Intern to support hands-on fabrication, machining, and integration of spacecraft structures for the ENOS reusable reentry vehicle. This role is ideal for students in A&P training programs, machining or welding trades, or engineering students with strong shop experience. You’ll work directly on critical hardware — from rolling and shaping sheet metal to building custom test stands and flight components in cleanrooms.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and manual mills, lathes, and waterjet systems
- Shape and assemble aluminum and stainless sheet metal using rolling, bending, riveting, and cleco techniques
- Assist with weld prep, fixture design, and ground support equipment fabrication
- Build and maintain mechanical systems for test and integration campaigns
- Interpret drawings and support iterative builds in a fast-paced development shop
Qualifications
- Background in mechanical or aerospace engineering, machining, welding, or A&P training
- Hands-on experience using shop tools and mechanical assembly
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, or fabrication instructions
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to take initiative on the shop floor
- Passion for building and testing real flight hardware
