Logistics lead: Building a whole new type of credit card (ideally Bay Area/flexible) - FinTech, Logistics - (PingLend, YC W21)

Logistics Lead

PingLend is on a mission to radically change the way finance works for the underbanked: starting with credit. We just wrapped up a Series A less than one year after our seed round and are building an amazing team. PingLend allows almost anyone to get a credit card regardless of their credit score by collateralizing assets such as gold, jewelry, watches, handbags, etc. This allows PingLend's users to build their credit and qualify for previously unobtainable financial products. Soon we will expand to every type of collateral, across physical and virtual goods.

We are looking for an operations lead to help build a fintech unicorn and change the lives of underbanked Americans.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Organizing insurance, shipping, and storage of goods for optimal speed, efficiency, price, and customer satisfaction.
2. Coordinate with the engineering and finance team to design a reporting system for collateral that is scalable.
3. Arrange courier and last-mile delivery and drop off systems throughout the country (starting with Los Angeles)

Skills that may help are:

1. Comfort with traveling, ability to do frequent trips to Los Angeles
2. Strong Organizational skills
3. Firm negotiator
4. Deep knowledge of parcel shipping, last-mile delivery, insurance etc
5. Scrappy "I'll figure it out" mentality.
6. Ability to deal with ambiguity
7. Strong communication skills.
