Founding Design Engineer

TL;DR:

As a Founding Design Engineer at Parahelp, you’ll work at the intersection of design and frontend engineering to build intuitive user interfaces. You’ll understand customers, design in Figma, and ship production UI that helps companies like Perplexity, ElevenLabs, Photoroom, Replit, and Framer get the most value from Parahelp.

What you’ll do:

• Design and iterate on UI in Figma.
• Build reusable components and primitives, and own our design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Build intuitive UI using TypeScript, React, NextJS, tRPC, Prisma, and Tailwind.
• Work with product and backend engineers to integrate APIs and ship complete features with attention to detail.

You might be a fit if:

• You are based in San Francisco and excited to work in person.
• You have a strong portfolio or personal site that showcases your design and front-end work.
• You have 2–5 years of experience in front-end development with TypeScript and React. You are familiar with NextJS, tRPC, Prisma, Tailwind, and TanStack Query.
• You love design, care about the details, and want to own the craft.
• You’re already using AI tools in your day-to-day to build, design, or prototype.
• You’re excited about moving fast.
• Bonus: You’ve been a founder before or have comparable zero-to-one experience.

Interview Process

1. First round (30 minutes)
2. Coffee chat (1 hour)
3. Design + front-end challenge (1 hour)
4. Final onsite (3 hours)
