Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Coordinator 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Palmdale, CA.
2nd shift, 4/10s schedule Monday – Thursday
Position is onsite, unable to accommodate a telecommute/hybrid schedule

The ideal candidate is a self-driven problem solve with knowledge of Supply Chain processes. You will support the Palmdale Machine Center and the Global Supply Chain team, receiving, storing, and maintaining raw material and parts into our SAP system. You will work closely with Supply Chain Integration, Mechanical Engineers, Quality, and Machinist, executing material issue and receipts, verifying raw material certifications and requirements, staging material for manufacturing, and has a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Provides administrative, technical, tactical and execution support in various aspects of the industry standard supply chain business process areas, primarily Goods Movement, Supply Chain Logistics, as well as Supply Chain Operations.
- Tracks and stages Raw Material and Parts for Manufacturing Processes.
- Experience in SAP Goods Issue and Goods Receiving transactions.
- Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process.
- Loads, unloads, and conveys materials and parts to multiple work sites, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and machines by hand; loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand.
- Works closely with the Integration team and shop floor with experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Wraps and packs parts to send to on and offsite locations.
- Provides status of material and/or parts during meetings or other required planning/status sessions.
- Operate company-owned vehicles to execute pick-up and delivery of parts between Northrop Grumman sites/buildings, and offsite locations at times.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical requirements.
- Verifies certificates of conformance to use conforming raw material on flight parts.
- Daily status PO’s that contain raw material for parts.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in logistics support, shipping/receiving, warehousing and/or inventory control.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. and walk or stand for extended periods of time.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain / maintain DOD Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting).
- Ability to work in MS 365, Excel, Word, Power Point
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding Receiving Reports and Raw Material Certifications
- Prior experience using a forklift/reach lift/pallet jack.
- Prior experience using SAP/ MES.
- Hazmat or chemical handling experience.
- Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing.
- Warehousing Operations
