Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal or Staff Program Cost & Scheduling Analyst to join our qualified and diverse team. In this role, you will lead the implementation of standard processes and tools to support program planning, cost analysis, scheduling management, risk/opportunity management, and project management practices. You will work closely with subject matter experts on the Program Controls Integrated Systems (PCIS) team, providing training, system support, and developing web-based solutions. This position is primarily virtual; however, candidates must live within a reasonable driving distance to a Northrop Grumman site.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Deltek toolset, including user administration, template updates, rate settings, and calendar configuration.
- Provide end-user support for the Earned Value Management (EVM) toolset, including Deltek Cobra and Deltek PM Compass, ensuring adherence to EVM policies and procedures.
- Implement and support the integration of tools such as Cobra, PM Compass, and associated systems.
- Assist in program and project start-up by ensuring the appropriate configuration of EVM tools.
- Collaborate with the user community to develop, enhance, and communicate processes, procedures, and online resources.
- Support Sector Earned Value Compliance initiatives and provide guidance on standard EVM tools and practices.
- Document deficiencies, propose solutions, and articulate results to management.
- Ensure robust security measures for the Deltek tools in line with compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation for toolset processes and guidelines.
- Manage and update the SharePoint site/website and develop web-based tools to support user needs.
Required Qualifications level 4:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance or a related field with 10 years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
- A working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) guidelines and processes.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), with advanced skills in formulas and macros.
Required Qualifications level 5:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance or a related field with 12 years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
- A working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) guidelines and processes.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), with advanced skills in formulas and macros.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced academic degree in a related field is favorable.
- Experience with Schedule Health Analysis tools and Schedule Risk Assessment tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Basic programming and SQL programming language.
