Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is looking for you to join our team as a Engineer Guidance Navigation Control located in Salt Lake City, UT.
To be successful, the engineer must demonstrate experience on guidance, navigation, and control systems (or similar complexity systems), collaboration skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What you'll get to do:
- Develop, implement, verify and test algorithms and software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, launch vehicles and a variety of other end items.
- Process development and maintenance over test operations.
- Develop, improve, and maintain test procedures
- Continuing process improvement based on data driven metrics.
- Interface with and build relationships across organizations in Salt Lake City, Woodland Hills and other NGC sites.
- Represent the organization to program office and external customer as needed.
The ideal candidate must have good presentation skills with the ability to communicate written and verbally, demonstrate the ability to lead technical projects, including project scope management, budget, schedule, and overall execution.
Basic qualifications for the Engineer Guidance Navigation Control 4:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or directly related STEM discipline with a minimum of 8 Years with bachelor’s in science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Experience collaborating with teams and/project leadership.
2 or more years of experience guidance and navigation control systems
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Experience with MATLAB
Experience with standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with database queries techniques
Preferred Qualifications for the Engineer Guidance Navigation Control 4:
SAP experience.
Data mining experience
Experience in a high regulatory environment such DoD, FAA or FDA.
Experience using data for decision making.
Root Cause Corrective Actions experience.
Six Sigma experience.
Experience with electromechanical assembly.
