Northrop Grumman Space Systems is a strategic partner specializing in delivering intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solutions for classified and unclassified missions in space.  As part of Eastern Region Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (ER-SEIT), you will have the opportunity to experience the entire space design lifecycle.  We do it all here, on-site, from sensors to payloads to full up spacecraft, supporting Class A to Class D missions.  All the way from early mission and concept design to on-orbit operational support. This position is for an Integration & Test Engineer supporting programs in our Surveillance and Targeting Business Unit.


Position Overview:

As a Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the integration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting/debugging of subsystem which are part of advanced Northrop Grumman Space Payloads. All integration and test activities are conducted in Baltimore, Maryland.


Essential Functions:

The selected candidate will participate in the integration and test hardware product. This includes the following essential functions.

  • Live debugging and analysis – Conduct live software debugging, performance analysis, and defect reporting using Atlassian Jira.
  • Test script development & documentation – Create automated test scripts, document test procedures, produce test reports, and conduct formal requirement verification and validation.
  • Special test events – Support and coordinate special test events as needed.
  • Collaboration & communication – Effectively collaborate with Integration and Test Lead; provide regular status updates to engineering and management;

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
  • Familiarity with Python, Java, or C++
  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
  • Experience with (or interest in) formal requirement verification and composition
  • Experience with (or interest in) test procedure development for verification of requirements
  • Experience creating or editing test plans and procedures
  • Agile development experience a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD Top Secret and SCI/Poly eligible highly desired
  • Experience or related experience in RF sensors and systems
  • Working knowledge of DOORS, CAMEO, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
