As a Process Engineer to support our Rocket Motor Case Prep– Level 1 or Level 2 located in Promontory, Utah You’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
- Developing and improving manufacturing processes
- Spending time in the operations area observing and monitoring rocket motor assembly processes
- Performing cause and corrective action activities to permanently eliminate defects using root cause analysis tools
- Working with concurrent engineering teams to ensure proper documentation and on-time production
- Authoring, updating, and reviewing shop floor work instructions
- Preparing and presenting technical presentations to technical teams, leadership, and to customers for review and approval
- Performing table-top reviews
- Using SPC tools to ensure process control
- Developing and incorporating process improvements
- Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions
- Supporting design, checkout, qualification, and implementation of new or modified tooling or equipment
- Must be able to work 4x10 (6:00 am to 4:30 pm, M-Th)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 4x10 Monday-Thursday, 6 am-4:30 pm.
Basic Qualifications
Level 1
- B.S. degree in STEM (Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, or other technical degrees may be considered), 1 year of experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
- Position may be filled at a level requiring 1 to 0 years of engineering experience with Masters.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques
- Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Interpreting blueprints and specifications
- Experience writing shop work instructions (preferred)
- Experience working with energetic materials and processes (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and Customer Service Skills
- Process Controls (SPC)
Level 2
