Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to support the Sentinel Program. This position will be located at our Roy, UT facility supporting the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division our Defense System Sector.
Responsibilities:
Source and procure build to print mechanical and electronic commodities.
Execute the procurement process, including but not limited to sourcing, price analysis, and negotiations, following policies and procedures including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
Initiate Requests for Quotations and Proposals and analyze proposed pricing from potential suppliers.
In conjunction with quality organization, evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.
Work with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
Manage performance of purchase orders, ensure compliance with all public law requirements as well as company policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
Interface and collaborate with programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain.
Plan, schedule, and arrange activities to accomplish objectives, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills and organization.
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 5 years or a Master's degree with minimum of 3 years of professional experience in supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, manufacturing or a closely related field; or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
Experience in MS Office suite.
Experience in leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in supply chain projects or roles.
Ability to obtain a US Government issued Secret clearance.
US Citizenship is required.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in procurement of the build to print commodity, including working with technical design packages.
Experience analyzing data to formulate and execute effective negotiation strategies.
Experience negotiating terms and conditions in a corporate setting.
Experience with government purchasing and contracting preferably in the Defense Industry.
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
Demonstrated high attention to detail.
Experience managing suppliers through the following: cost/schedule/quality.
Ability to prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in a global supply chain working environment.
Active Secret clearance.
