Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Principal Quality Analyst or Sr Principal Quality Analyst with experience in quality, manufacturing, or inventory to join our team in Sykesville, MD.
Role and Responsibilities:
This Shipping Quality Analyst will perform or assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability of program achievements in accordance with contractual requirements to support multiple programs. Candidates must work well in a team, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, possess the ability to plan and be customer-support focused. Individuals must also have demonstrated ability to evaluate whether documents, instructions and procedures are being followed during execution and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. This position is full-time on site.
Responsibilities Include:
Reviews all material and associated documents moving in and out of the shipping area to support multiple programs
Facilitates the documentation and resolution of all non-conforming material moving in and out of the shipping area
Ensures that performance, products, and services conform to established company, customer, and regulatory standards
Pulls, analyzes, and reports Shipping Quality metrics during weekly SQDCM meetings and monthly PCAB to site-wide management
Leads process audits and continuous improvement efforts to identify and close gaps in the shipping processes
Collaborates with packaging engineering and operations to ensure quality standards are in place
Leads or participates in Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA)
Makes recommendations based on issues or observations to site and program leadership for risk reduction and continuous improvement
Is the Focal point for BPMI Government Representative inspections, periodic evaluations, and any associated formal or informal requests for corrective action
Performs technical reviews of packaging instructions, drawings, SOWβs, etc. as required
Collaborates in a team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to support weekend work, as needed.
This position can be filled as a Level 3 or a Level 4.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree, or 9 years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance
US Citizenship required
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:
A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree, or 12 years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance
US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Quality reviews of shipping material and the shipping process
Continuous Improvement
Experience in developing or reviewing Root Cause / Corrective Action activity
SAP experience and knowledge for tracking and managing material
Experience with dispositioning hardware for quality related issues in a manufacturing facility
Experience in Quality in a Defense Industry
Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques
Experience with leading cross-functional teams to resolve problems or issues
