This position will manage a team of supply chain professionals and oversee all aspects of Supply Chain for the Business Unit, delivering status reports, acting with a sense of urgency in response to critical requirements, as well as applying supply chain knowledge and experience to successfully navigate a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment with high expectations.
Responsible for all phases of the Goods Movement Warehousing, Kitting and Distribution processes including, but not limited to, material requirements planning, inventory and perishable materials management, coordination/collaboration with Make Integration and Manufacturing on part/order priorities, movement of parts/tools throughout and between work centers, and engineering product stock room.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 20+ Production Controllers, across multiple shifts, within the Advance Composites Center (ACC)
Assign and monitor team workloads to ensure efficient and effective execution
Provide objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines and general policies
Provide required training/coaching to subordinates ensuring adequate process/SOW knowledge for success
Manage and monitor department performance to ensure compliance with expectations and service level agreements
Develop and Execute the strategy for internal tracking of parts/orders through complete build cycle
Will collaborate with various programs on projects related to Goods Movement processes within ACC
Lead, coordinate, and collaborate with internal and external teammates, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, MRB, Industrial Engineering, Shipping, etc. to ensure performance to schedule commitments
Direct team activities associated with product transportation, storage, and material handling requirements, including major deliveries (classified and unclassified), and specialty movements as they relate to transportability
Develop and Execute enhanced WIP reporting, improving real-time status of orders as they move through the build cycle
Create and Implement plan to address future distribution needs focusing on innovation and digital transformation objectives
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience
Relevant experience includes Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Business Management or related field
Prior experience leading a team, process and/or projects
Experience conducting presentations to senior leadership
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Significant experience conducting oral presentations to senior leadership
Internal Northrop Grumman Goods Movement and/or Logistics experience
Experience with Risk/Opportunity management
Experience with GSC compliance audits
Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
