Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager, Product Support 2, to join our team of individuals within our Product Support organization supporting the B-2 & Aircraft Solutions Operating Unit (OU) located in El Segundo, CA. This leadership role will be full-time in the office with nominal travel responsibilities, including potential for international travel.
This role will support and work directly with the B-2 & Aircraft Solutions Operating Unit (OU) Sustainment Program Office, and customer operations in a variety of locations, and include all aspects for overseeing, sustaining operations, and providing timely, knowledge-based Product Support direction. Position will have direct supervisory and/or management responsibilities for more than one integrated support element, including systems analysis, spares, provisioning, repairs, fleet modifications, technical data, and support equipment.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
Responsible for ensuring mission success by working side-by-side with internal functions on execution of statement of work along with the F/A-18, F-5, and T-38 government customer weapon system experts to keep our products at optimum performance and readiness.
- Report to customers on cost, quality, schedule and safety performance for the Sustainment and Supply Support team assigned to the B-2 & Aircraft Solutions Operating Unit (OU).
- Lead department in the day-to-day support for the operation of the functional organization and resolving critical/urgent program/technical issues or schedule impacts associated with support equipment, spares and repairs.
- Act as the sustainment integration manager for the assigned Operating unit Sustainment portfolio, including coordinating with program office, supply chain, spares, repairs and support equipment departments on proposal inputs, earned value performance/CAM responsibility, technical issues and demand execution.
- Ensure department resources have appropriate capabilities and/or training to support assigned and future statement of work (SOW); and are accountable for quality and timeliness of deliverables to customers.
- Drive integration of requirements, configuration, obsolescence / diminishing material resources, as well as other program needs to include management and mitigation of issues and risks.
- Ensure proposals have robust Basis of Estimates (BOE), along with the necessary material requisition and schedule timelines to maintain turnaround times (TAT) and achieve contract commitments.
- Assist with Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) and strategic growth initiatives needed to grow the sustainment business portfolio.
- Accountable for department retention, recruiting and hiring.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of proposal, program integration, supply chain and/or logistics experience OR a Master’s Degree and 7 years years of proposal, program integration, supply chain and/or logistics experience
- Experience with programs as well as sector business, processes and technical tools (SAP, MES, PDM, EAGLE, Catia V5 and EVMS).
- Proficient in use of Microsoft business tools (Visio, Excel, Project, MS Teams).
- Experience in formal risk and issues management.
- Possess rudimentary understanding and application of Product Support Technical Discipline principles, concepts, practices, and standards and proficient project management skills to oversee and execute role and responsibilities.
- Experience leading a team and/or major project and direct interface with external customers.
- Basic knowledge of earned value processes and procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance.
- Ability to travel as needed (approx. 25%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in a business or technical field.
- Experience in the military aerospace development and sustainment environment is preferred.
- F/A-18 program experience.
- Proficiency using program business tools; SAP, MES and FRACAS.
- Advanced proposal experience.
- Aircraft maintenance experience.
- Executive writing and presentation skills.
- Experience in spares, repairs, technical data, and support equipment.
- Program and portfolio management experience.
- Prior Cost Account Management (CAM) experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
- Active, In scope DoD Secret clearance.
