Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector is looking for you to join our engineering leadership team as a Manager Manufacturing Engineering 2 located in Salt Lake City, UT.
To be successful, the manager must demonstrate a highly engaging leadership style, have excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What you'll get to do:
Manage manufacturing engineering support for the systems factory.
Process development and maintenance over manufacturing operations.
Develop building procedures.
Continuing process improvement based on data driven metrics.
Interface with and build relationships across organizations in Salt Lake City, Woodland Hills and other NGC sites.
Organization representative to program office and external customer as needed.
Supervise a team of engineers including but not limited to performance evaluations, goal setting, and developing a strategic vision for the team.
The ideal candidate must have good presentation skills with the ability to communicate written and verbally, and demonstrate the ability to lead technical projects, including project scope management, budget, schedule, and overall execution.
Basic Qualifications for the Manager Manufacturing Engineering 2:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or directly related STEM discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering work experience; OR a Master’s degree with 6 or more years of relevant engineering work experience.
Experience collaborating with teams and/project leadership.
2 or more years of experience with leading individuals or projects.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Experience with standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with database queries techniques.
Preferred Qualifications for the Manager Manufacturing Engineering 2:
SAP experience.
People Management experience.
Automated test experience both in terms of equipment design and test process implementation
Experience in a high regulatory environment such DoD, FAA or FDA.
Experience using data for decision making.
Root Cause Corrective Actions experience.
Six Sigma experience.
Experience with electromechanical assembly.
