Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Industrial Security Analyst 2/3 to support our Chantilly, VA location. This position will serve as a Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO), Top-Secret Control Officer (TSCO), and Personnel Security point of contact as it relates to all applicable classified federal, contractual, customer and company requirements. The successful candidate will report directly to the Enterprise Security Manager and will be charged with providing critical program security support for Department of Defense (DoD) and Special Access Program (SAP) contracts/activities.
This position will be filled as a Level 2 or 3.
The selected candidate will provide daily support efforts to include and not limited to personnel security clearance processing, document control and TSCO accountability, physical security, visitor control, and personnel security processing PAR for SAP access. Knowledge of DD254 contractual specification document requirements will be useful for program success and management of all administrative actions. This individual will be responsible for program area self-inspections and supporting customer inspections for DoD and SAP program areas. Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) must be generated, and actions monitored to ensure completion for any deficiencies or findings noted in program areas. Must effectively interface daily with the site management, government and contractor customers, NG program management and other NG engineering and functional staff.
The candidate must have a high degree of problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision and should have some degree of knowledge of security procedures with multiple agencies. Must possess the ability to adapt to constantly changing demands and demonstrate the capability to take on new and unfamiliar tasks. Requirement to make some independent decisions, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions to management is essential. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented and possess the ability to work with others collaboratively in a professional and high-energy environment. Some travel may be required to support off-site activities and customer requirements.
Other Responsibilities May Include:
- Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company operations
- Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
- Manage program security compliance and operations across multiple functions including PHYSEC, COMSEC, PERSEC, Contract Security, Investigations, and Document Control Management
- Prepare manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials
- Conduct security education classes and security audits, briefings
- Develop security program SOPs as required
- Prepare staff and sites for government security audits
- Conduct security reviews of acquisition packages
- Conduct security reviews and update document classifications
- Support visitor requests
- Investigate security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken

Industrial Security Analyst (Level 2) Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma and 6 years of Security; or 2 years of Security experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 0 years Security experience with a master's degree
Fully proficient and knowledgeable with the Department of Defense Manual 5205.07; 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
Organized and efficient with time management
Computer and desktop Microsoft Office software products experience (Word, Excel etc.)
Detail-oriented, have meticulous record-keeping, and be responsible for accurate data input into multiple databases/spreadsheets
In-scope investigation (T5, T5R, SSBI, SBPR, PR) completed within the last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE) program
Candidate must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Principal Industrial Security Analyst (Level 3) Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma and 9 years of Security; or 5 years of Security experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years Security experience with a master's degree
Candidate must be a US Citizen
In-scope investigation (T5, T5R, SSBI, SBPR, PR) completed within the last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE) program
Ability to meet enhanced security requirements and obtain/maintain SAP eligibility and access
Proficient knowledge of the Department of Defense Manual 5205.07; 32 CFR Part 17 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
Candidate must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidate must have or be able to successfully pass a Counterintelligence, Lifestyle or Full Scope polygraph examination
Experience with: DISS, JADE, SIMS
Experience with Physical Security requirements and knowledge of ICD-705
Strong leadership skills to include: Self-starter with minimal supervision, high ethical standards, organized and efficient at time management
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions in the midst of ambiguity and meet deadlines
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deliverables
