Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Beavercreek Ohio, is seeking a Database Administrator with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database experience at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. NASIC is responsible for creating all-source intelligence defining the present and future air, air defense, cyber, space and ballistic missile threats to enable military operations, force modernization, and policy making. They should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This hiring candidate will be an active part of a team of Systems, Network, and Storage Administrators who collaborate to support multiple networks including both Windows and Linux operating systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active Department of Defense Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance
• IAT Level II certification such as SecurityX (formerly CASP+) or Security+
• One of the following:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with 6 Years relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 2 Years related experience
  • Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 0 Year related experience
• 3 Year PostgreSQL/Oracle Administration Experience (or similar relational database solution)

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ArangoDB Database administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows or Linux environments Systems Administration.
• Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Harbor, Docker, GitLab, etc.
• Experience with scripting using tools such as Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, etc.
• Knowledge of Docker/Podman.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $119,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
