Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Cyber Systems Security Engineer / Principal Cyber Systems Security Engineer that will join our team of qualified, diverse engineers to support the Systems Engineering Integration (SEI) Integrated Product Team (IPT). This position is located on-site at our Melbourne, FL location.

The Systems Security Engineering department is searching for a talented Computer Science or Systems Engineer with knowledge and experience developing Anti-Tamper (AT) solutions. The selected candidate will develop requirements, participate in design, development, implementation, and support technology protection solutions on critical military systems.
Key Responsibilities:
The individual will be responsible for operating in an agile team environment to perform the following:
- Responsible for defining protection plans, developing requirements, system integration and test.
- Development and verification of system engineering requirements and technology protection capabilities.
- Component and system-level testing through assessment of hostile reverse-engineering threats and potential countermeasures.
- Assessment of proposed logic-bearing hardware devices for vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors.
- Participate in component level trade studies to select advanced technology protection solution approaches.
- Responsible for AT subsystem hardware design and development of AT features.
- Assist with the design and develop system security architectures.

Basic Qualifications:
- Cyber Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 2 years of relevant experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline
- Principal Cyber Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 5 years of relevant experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, OR 1 year of experience with a PhD in a STEM discipline
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
- Must have experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment in one of the following areas: Cybersecurity, requirements development, systems engineering, product design, system integration or test.
- Must have hands on experience in one of the following Cyber engineering disciplines: cybersecurity principles, security components, implementation, or testing.
- Must have ability to obtain DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification, such as Security+ CE, within 6 months of start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current SAP access
- DoD 8570 IAM II/III Certification (CAP, GLSC, CISSP, CASP CE).
- Familiarity with computer architecture and applications.
- Must have experience with computer operating systems and software programming languages.
- Experience conducting integration and verification testing through formal test acceptance and sign off.
- Familiarity with Anti-Tamper architecture, including secure AT system engineering and vulnerability assessments.
- Previous experience in Cybersecurity and Anti-Tamper engineering disciplines.
- Experience working with Government contracts and customer representatives.
- Familiarity with FPGA hardware technologies.
- Familiarity with embedded microprocessor design.
