Summary

As a Schedule Analyst within the Strategic Business Integration Office, you will be responsible for creating schedule, cost, and risk products in support of programs and projects at Johnson Space Center. You will be responsible for the Program Integrated Master Schedule and provide guidance and recommendations on schedule related topics. You will be responsible for reporting statuses and ensuring leadership is cognizant of schedule impacts reported by vendor schedule data submissions.

Duties

  • Develop integrated schedule products, provide analysis of current program and project schedules, and coordinate with enterprise and Mission Directorate schedule teams as well as external stakeholders.
  • Utilize scheduling and reporting tools for schedule analysis such as Microsoft Project, Artemis Schedule Integration Tool (ASIT), Power BI, Tableau, Structured Solutions Inc (SSI) Tools, Acumen Fuse, OnePager, Milestones Pro, etc.
  • Lead NASA NPR 7120.5 programmatic activities by tailoring requirements, communicating with external stakeholders, and developing schedule, cost, and risk products necessary to meet NASA Key Decision Point milestones.
  • Perform schedule assessments of contractor and performing organizations to ensure effective overall alignment with program technical, schedule and cost baselines.
  • Integrate Program Planning and Control (PP and C) products and brief Program/Project Management on statuses and results to include but not limited to monthly schedule performance.
  • Formulate and negotiate agreements and plans for institutional resource support, programmatic scope, and participate in strategic planning for new acquisitions.
  • Support the yearly budget and planning process (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution / Operational Baseline Review) by providing schedule-related inputs and assisting with forward planned work to help identify future year funding needs.

Requirements

  • Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:

  • Utilizing analytical and evaluative methods to assess program or project schedule performance and report findings and impacts to program milestones to leadership;
  • Developing, maintaining, or analyzing integrated schedules or related planning products to support informed decision-making;
  • Analyzing and integrating data from multiple sources to support schedule, cost, or risk assessments, and providing recommendations to inform planning, reporting, or organizational objectives.

  • Qualified Group - Applicants who demonstrate the basic qualifications, with general knowledge, skills, and abilities.
