
Receiving Inspector

As a Receiving Inspector, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining product quality and supporting seamless production operations. It is the inspector’s responsibility to ensure incoming parts and materials meet applicable workmanship and/or contractual standards, and are ‘ready for use' when they are put on the shelf in inventory.
You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering and Operations functions to help define requirements, identify and resolve non-conformances, and streamline overall inspection processes.
About this role:

Perform receiving inspection verification on incoming components, assemblies, and materials in accordance with certifications, specifications, and conformance to design requirements

Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, and quantity as required.

Communicate with internal customers and suppliers to resolve inspection discrepancies.

Approve or reject items and document inspection results as required.

Contribute to a culture centered around quality workmanship and skills development.
Must Haves:
-
3+ years of manufacturing or quality experience.
-
Experience inspecting harnessing, circuit cards/electronic boxes, electrical & mechanical components, and complex sub-assemblies.

Ability to interpret & work from engineering drawings (electrical schematics & assembly drawings).

Basic understanding of GD&T and machining processes.

Basic understanding of electronics and electrical assembly processes.

Knowledge and experience with measurement and inspection hand tools (e.g., micrometers, digital multimeters, durometers, ohmmeters, circuit testers, and more).

Detail-oriented, with a strong pride and ownership of work performed.
-
Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, converting from standard to metric.

Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
-
Solid computer skills and familiarity with controlled designs and processes.
-
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Nice to Haves:
-
Experience with the Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence).
-
Experience with NetSuite ERP or First Resonance ION MES.
-
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures / work instructions.
-
Technical degree preferred – AET and/or A&P License.
-
ISO 9001/AS9100 or equivalent experience.
-
Harness Test (Continuity, IR & DWV) with Cirris Automated Tester.

CCA Circuit Check and/or Functional Testing.

Familiarity with running software scripts.
