Job Description
Why LeoLabs?
At LeoLabs, we’re building the living map of activity in space. Through our proprietary global radar network and AI-enabled analytics platform, we collect millions of measurements daily on more than 25,000 objects in low Earth orbit (LEO). Our radar-powered intelligence protects billions in assets, monitors adversarial behavior, and ensures safe operations for commercial and government missions.
We’re not just building technology, we are redefining global security, safety, and transparency in space. As orbital activity accelerates and threats grow more complex, LeoLabs is a trusted partner for Space Domain Awareness, Space Traffic Management, and Satellite Operations for top-tier space operators and allied defense organizations.
If you're looking to work on mission-critical challenges at the forefront of aerospace, national security, and AI, your impact starts here.
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Technical Recruiter to join our growing Talent Acquisition team. This role is ideal for an experienced full-cycle technical recruiter who is ready to independently own a portfolio of engineering and technical hiring while continuing to grow as a talent acquisition professional.
Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, you'll partner closely with engineering leaders and hiring managers to attract exceptional talent across software engineering, systems engineering, AI/ML, infrastructure, product, and other highly technical disciplines. You'll manage an average of 8-10 active requisitions while balancing sourcing, stakeholder partnership, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is energized by technical recruiting, enjoys building relationships with both candidates and hiring teams, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. While the primary focus of this role is recruiting technical talent, familiarity with the U.S. security clearance process and recruiting for clearance-eligible positions is valuable, as many of our U.S.-based roles support government and national security customers.
What You'll Do
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle for technical and engineering positions, from intake through accepted offer.
- Independently manage an average workload of 8-10 active requisitions while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive technical talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, industry events, and other innovative channels.
- Recruit across a variety of engineering and technical disciplines, including positions that are clearance eligible or require an understanding of the U.S. security clearance process.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, align on recruiting strategies, and provide consistent communication throughout the hiring process.
- Conduct recruiter screens to evaluate technical backgrounds, career progression, motivation, and overall fit.
- Guide candidates through every stage of the interview process while serving as their primary point of contact.
- Drive offer development, negotiation, and closing efforts in partnership with hiring managers and People Operations.
- Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines to support both current and future hiring needs.
- Maintain accurate recruiting data, candidate records, and reporting within Greenhouse.
- Partner with the Director of Talent Acquisition to continuously improve recruiting processes, interview practices, candidate experience, and hiring manager experience while contributing thoughtful ideas that help the Talent Acquisition function evolve and scale.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant experience supporting technical and engineering hiring.
- Demonstrated success managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing through offer acceptance, with the ability to independently own a portfolio of technical requisitions.
- Experience recruiting software engineers and other technical professionals in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Ability to independently manage an average of 8-10 active requisitions while balancing competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of the U.S. security clearance process; experience supporting clearance-eligible or cleared hiring is preferred.
- Strong sourcing capabilities with experience identifying and engaging passive technical talent using modern recruiting tools and techniques.
- Strong partnership and communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships with hiring managers and cross-functional partners.
- Demonstrated curiosity, sound judgment, and a thoughtful approach to solving recruiting challenges while continuously seeking opportunities to improve hiring outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems; prior experience with Greenhouse is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other modern sourcing platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, space, national security, or other deep technology organizations.
- Experience recruiting software, systems, AI/ML, infrastructure, hardware, or other highly technical engineering talent.
- Experience working in a high-growth startup or scaling technology company.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
