Director Financial Planning & Analysis (m/f/d)

The main purpose of the role is to provide best practice financial insights, tools, and support needed to deliver products and goals promptly, efficiently, and transparently (e.g., cost, performance, quality, time). This role also involves liaising with various stakeholders and ensuring the success of the company by reporting to the VP of Financial Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Insights & Support

• Provide detailed group budgets and forecasts.
• Develop precise financial modelling, analyses, and insights.
• Offer FP&A support for other functions.

Customer Interaction & Support

• Liaise with executive management, board members, auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide proactive support and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Insight, accuracy, quality, and promptness of deliverables.
• Knowledge of the business and financial drivers.
• Proactive vs. reactive problem identification and resolution.
• Customer satisfaction.

Capabilities

• Extensive experience in FP&A, controlling, or auditing (≥15 years).
• Strong leadership, communication, and integrative skills.
• Proactive and customer-centric approach.
• Ability to balance strategic and detailed orientations, problem structuring, and solving.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Fluent in English and German; proficiency in French is a plus.
• Extensive experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Physical presence required at our headquarters in Ottobrunn, with the possibility of remote work one day per week.
