Operations Systems Engineer - Ground Stations

Why this role matters:
As an Operations Systems Engineer - Ground Stations, you’ll ensure reliable, high-quality communication between ICEYE’s space and ground segments.
By operating, maintaining, and expanding our global ground station network, you will directly support uninterrupted satellite operations and data delivery. Your work enables timely, accurate Earth Observation data that strengthens ICEYE’s position as the global source of truth in Earth Observation.

This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE’s world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy, day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
• Operate and maintain ICEYE’s global network of ground stations, ensuring high availability and contact quality
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve communication issues between space and ground segments
• Contribute to the deployment and integration of new ground stations into the existing ground segment
• Design, validate, and improve automation mechanisms to assess and enhance operational quality and reliability
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working with operations-related processes and tools in technical environments
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to investigate and resolve issues involving new technologies
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to haves:
• Experience with ground stations and or satellite communications
• Familiarity with digital communications, radio frequency concepts, and satellite communication protocols
• Experience with software development, networking technologies, or Infrastructure as Code

Base salary range for this position is 16 000 - 22 000 PLN per month (gross), depending on experience, and will be negotiated individually.
