Job Description

About Helion

We are a fusion power company based in Everett, WA, with the mission to build the world's first fusion power plant, enabling a future with unlimited clean electricity. Our vision is a world with clean, reliable, and affordable energy for everyone.

Since Helion's founding in 2013, we have raised over $1 billion from long-time investors such as Sam Altman, Mithril, and Capricorn Investment Group as well as new investors SoftBank and Lightspeed to propel us forward. Our last prototype, Trenta, completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius (9 keV). We are now operating Polaris, our next prototype on the path to the world's first fusion power plant.

This is a pivotal time to join Helion. You will tackle real-world challenges with a team that prizes urgency, rigor, ownership, and a commitment to delivering hard truths – values essential to achieving what no one has before. Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can't wait.

What You Will Be Doing:

The Inventory Control Supervisor acts as a primary steward of inventory accuracy across all Helion facilities, ensuring materials are properly transacted, stored, and controlled to support reliable production operations. This role will help establish the foundation for a scalable inventory control program and support the future growth of the inventory control team as Helion’s production operations expand.

You Will:

  • Supervise daily activities of the Inventory Control team, including cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, and inventory reconciliation at multiple Helion facilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counting, reconciliation, and root cause investigation of discrepancies

  • Ensure materials are properly stored, labeled, and maintained within defined inventory locations and storage standards

  • Ensure all material movements are properly transacted within ERP or inventory management systems

  • Support preparation and execution of facility Physical Inventory (PI) events and inventory validation activities

  • Promote inventory discipline across the operation by reinforcing proper material transactions, location usage, and inventory control standards.

  • Partner with material handling, production, planning, and engineering teams to resolve inventory issues and improve material flow

  • Train and develop Inventory Control Specialists to ensure consistent execution of inventory control processes and standards

  • Monitor and report key inventory performance metrics including inventory accuracy, cycle count compliance, and inventory adjustments

  • Identify opportunities to improve material organization, storage efficiency, and inventory processes to support operational growth

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing or production environment, including experience leading inventory control activities or teams

  • Experience performing cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, discrepancy investigation, and inventory adjustments

  • Experience supporting or participating in physical inventory (PI) events

  • Experience using ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems to manage inventory transactions and reporting

  • Strong understanding of inventory storage practices, location management, and material identification

  • Experience analyzing operational and transaction data to determine root causes of inventory discrepancies

  • Ability to read and interpret part numbers, inventory labels, location codes, and inventory documentation

Benefits

Our total compensation package includes benefits, including but not limited to:

• Medical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families
• 31 Days of PTO (21 vacation days and 10 sick days)
• 10 Paid holidays, plus company-wide winter break
• Up to 5% employer 401(k) match
• Short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance
