About the Role
To build our giant space systems, we need rockstars of all experience levels who can directly work the full product lifecycle of an in-space propulsion system, including thrusters, valves,andpropellant & pressurization systems.

Responsibilities:
· Own the development of hardware for fluid system applications including valves, tubing, brackets, manifolds, and thrusters.
· Perform structural, thermal, and fluids analyses to define and verify component and system requirements and behavior.
· Generate system diagrams, system CAD, component drawings, and detailed requirements.
· Support procurement of components and external design reviews.
· Define test plans and interface with manufacturing to accept production hardware for flight.
· Manage project schedules, risk, and budget

Required Attributes
· Direct experiencewith in-spacechemicalpropulsion systems and demonstratedpastownership of complex fluid or mechanical projects.
· Ability tounderstand structural, fluid, and thermal designs from first principles.
· Familiarity with CAD and FEA packages such as NX and NASTRAN or similar.
· 5+ years of industry experience.
· Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.

Bonus Points for
· Experience designing test or flight fluid systems for high pressure gases or liquids.
· Strong understanding and application of drafting standards and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
· Familiarity with safety critical systems,oxygen systems,pressure vessels, relief devices,igniters/exciters,and/or small thrusters.
· Experience with prop/fluid system analysis tools such as ROCETS, GFSSP, CEA, TDK.
· Proficiencyin Python.
