The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a senior, highly skilled, and motivated Senior Integrated Planning and Scheduling Specialist (Level 5) to join our BDS team. This position is Hybrid. The successful candidate will serve as one of the BDS Integrated Planning and Scheduling Subject Matter Experts. This includes the development and maintenance of program scheduling process design, integration, future tool, and process design, command media maintenance, and program support.
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides Subject Matter Expertise to Develop and maintain Integrated Planning and Scheduling (IP&S) command media (Processes, Instructions, and Guidance) to ensure they meet IP&S objectives and support Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements.
- Develop and maintain a strategy for Program Scheduling practice to ensure the integration of plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers, and partners.
- Develop, Coordinate deployment, troubleshoot, and maintain schedule management and reporting tools and processes.
- Advise and recommend IP&S change and baseline management best practices, processes, techniques, and tools.
- Develop, deliver, or coordinate delivery, and maintain training covering Program Scheduling, and Schedule Integration topics.
- Provide recommendations to program leadership regarding integrated planning and scheduling-related issues.
- Participate in managing and administration of communication focused on program scheduling topics with scheduling practitioners across Boeing components and divisions.
- Facilitates functional review of scheduling products (Proposals, Initial Baselines, and Major Baseline Changes).
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership to lower-level employees.
- Provide surge support to programs when necessary.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience with project management and the ability to self-manage projects
- 5+ years of experience with process management
- 3+ years of experience as a Master Scheduler
- Experience using technical and program management techniques to manage large-scale technical development efforts
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) with applying Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) requirements
- Strong presentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in systems integration.

Travel: This position requires up to 20% domestic travel, approximately two weeks of travel per quarter as outlined in our policies.
