The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) Sapphire is looking for a dynamic Senior Business and Organizational Change Management Specialist to join the team in Berkeley, MO; Arlington, VA; El Segundo, CA; Houston, TX; Huntington Beach, CA; Huntsville, AL; Mesa, AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; San Antonio, TX; Ridley Park, PA; Plano, TX; Seal Beach, CA; or Seattle, WA.
The selected candidate will plan and implement activities to prepare the BDS enterprise for the modernization of its foundational systems through the conversion to the three bedrock Sapphire system of systems, which includes Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Product Data Management (PDM). This role is essential for ensuring a smooth transition and fostering a culture of adaptability and engagement across the organization.
Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) supports more than 100 product teams, as they enable Boeing business partner leaders to deliver our products and services to our customers. From building a better digital experience, to designing faster and more accurate manufacturing analytics, our products touch every aspect of our business.
BDS is modernizing its foundational systems, enhancing its data strategies, and improving the alignment of its execution processes via a program called Sapphire that is a joint effort between BDS and IDT&S.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of comprehensive change strategies aligned to program objectives, business outcomes, and change standards that address the unique challenges and opportunities associated with the modernization of the ERP, MES, and PDM systems
Partner with program leaders, project managers, and other stakeholders to align, equip, and activate a coalition/network of change champions, including coaching on roles and best practices to drive desired culture and sustained engagement
Conduct assessments and synthesize data to measure business readiness and change impacts, defining measurable criteria and recommendations to inform integrated delivery plans that foster buy-in and address resistance
Design and drive stakeholder engagement and communications activities, ensuring timely, consistent, targeted, and two-way communication across impacted audiences
Plan, design, and facilitate stakeholder workshops, end-user training, and enablement activities that create practical experiences for knowledge-transfer and capability-building
Establish and monitor adoption, sentiment, and performance metrics, using data and feedback loops to adjust strategies and accelerate benefits realization
Identify, assess, and proactively manage change risks and resistance, partnering with program and business leaders to develop reinforcement and mitigation strategies
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience applying change management principles, methodologies, and tools in large scale, complex change initiatives
Experience partnering with sponsors, leaders, and stakeholders to drive alignment and accountability
Experience developing, tailoring, and delivering messages to multiple audiences
Experience designing content and facilitating experiences to engage, educate, and enable large audiences
Ability to travel 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Top Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
5+ years of experience with large-scale system implementations such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Product Data Management (PDM)
5+ years of experience translating highly technical concepts into learning materials (e.g., job aids) for end users
3+ years of experience within information technology
Experience with communication (verbal and written), analytical, and problem-solving skills
Formal training and/or certification in change management (e.g., CCMP, Prosci, or similar)
