
Quality Engineering and Program Manager - Phantom Works

The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineering and Program Manager to join the Phantom Works Quality team!
This position will report directly to the Senior Quality Program Manager of Phantom Works Quality and be responsible for the PW Space and PW Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Quality Organization and can be located in either Kent, WA or Southern California region.
The ideal candidate should have experience executing quality statement of work, effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle.
Develops and executes business plans, policies, procedures and strategies to maintain and improve organizational and quality system performance.
Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans. Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements.
Manages employees that develop and maintain quality processes and systems in support of effective and efficient quality system.
Develops and administers directives, policies, processes and procedures activities to assure program/contract, company, customer/government, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements are deployed.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
More than 5 years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
More than 5 years of experience in the application of AS9100
Experience interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
Experience providing briefings to senior and/or executive level management
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Six sigma education and application

Summary pay range: $131,750 - $178,250
