Company:
The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a disciplined, action‑oriented Project Management Specialist to join the MQ-25 Program Integration Office (PIO) in Hazelwood, Missouri.
You will work on a high-performing, cross‑functional team executing on an accelerated schedule to deliver state‑of‑the‑art capability. Familiarity with project/program management best practices and earned value management is required. Experience with risk processes and formal change management is essential to support program decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities:
Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
- Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
- Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
- Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
- Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
- Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support execution and compliance with Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP).
- Act as a point of coordination for RIO processes: identify, capture, prioritize, track, and close risks, issues, and opportunities across the program.
- Lead or support change control activities: assess change requests, perform impact analysis (schedule, cost, requirements), prepare recommendation packages, and facilitate Change Control Board (CCB) or equivalent approvals.
- Collect, analyze and synthesize project data to produce reports, dashboards, and meeting materials for program leadership.
- Analyze variances, earned value metrics, schedule performance, and resource allocations to enable timely corrective actions.
- Recommend and help implement process and tool improvements to increase transparency, decision quality, and execution efficiency.
- Plan and facilitate resolution of emergent issues; execute special projects as assigned.
- Engage stakeholders—technical and non‑technical—through clear communications, training, and status updates to enable smooth adoption of changes and RIO mitigations.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 3 years of experience in change management, program planning, project management, integrated scheduling, engineering, or business operations.
- More than 3 years of experience with team schedules, resource management, earned value management, and risk/issue/opportunity management.
- Hands‑on experience using project/program management best practices, processes, and methods.
- Demonstrated ability to perform impact analyses and manage change through formal change control processes.
- Strong discipline, follow‑through, and bias toward action—able to drive closure on open items and ensure execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical field, (business degree considered depending on technical experience).
- Ability to obtain U.S. Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience facilitating Change Control Boards or equivalent governance forums.
- Familiarity with RIO lifecycle tools and best practices for prioritization and mitigation.
- Experience implementing change management frameworks including stakeholder analysis, communication plans, and training.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Prior experience on defense or aerospace programs with complex integration and accelerated schedules.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.
Relocation:

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Level 3 $94,350 - $127,650
Level 4: $118,150 - $159,850
