Boeing ecommerce team is currently looking for an Experienced UI Developer to join the team in Bangalore, India. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) eCommerce IT organization. The selected individual will work in the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC) in Bangalore, India. As an Experienced UI Developer, the selected individual will work with the Boeing India teams and its partners and stakeholders to develop, maintain and improve the ecommerce applications. 

The Experienced UI Developer will be primarily associated with development of Spartacus / Angular applications. This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.   

Position Responsibilities:

• The selected candidate for this position will work on development and support of Boeing Global Service (BGS) ecommerce applications that are used to offer various parts, products and services to Business Regional & General Aviation (BRGA) as well as Commercial Airline (CA) customers across the world. This position involves working closely with other development / support teams in India, US and other locations. The selected individual will be a part of the engineering and technology team in Boeing India. 
• The selected individual will be highly skilled, professional engineer and would work (design, develop / test & support ecommerce applications) collaboratively with international teams comprising of software development, product management & business analysts and play a key role in ensuring BGS ecommerce applications are competitive in the market. As a UI developer, the selected individual will work with the BGS ecommerce team and work on frontend development work by using various UI technologies to develop and maintain BGS ecommerce applications as per the business needs. 
• The selected individual would be designing, developing and testing web-based eCommerce applications that includes Spartacus on Angular framework.
• The selected individual would need to work in close cooperation and actively aligns with the technical roadmap, interaction design, development and testing with similar teams based in USA or other regions 
• Create and maintain necessary software documentation (code, design, architecture, unit testing artifacts, etc.) 
• Keep track and actively reduce technical debts while working with other developers / leads / architects / SM / PO / etc. 
• Experience of working in Agile teams while following the Agile & SAFe practices on software craftsmanship such as test-driven development & pair programming / peer reviews 
• The selected individual would be responsible to provide support to development of internal competency and resources for critical skill sets and be a sought-after expert that other developers can benefit from 
• The selected individual will research & provide recommendations on new technologies / trends, best practices to improve the product development activities 
• Travel domestically and internationally as required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Excellent knowledge and experience in building testable, scalable, flexible, modular and efficient UI components for web based ecommerce applications that includes Spartacus on Angular frame work or similar applications.
• Excellent working knowledge and experience in application development using Angular, SCSS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Typescript, Bootstrap, RESTful Web Services, NodeJS,  etc.
• Candidate should be able to demonstrate strong experience with building Angular based projects and re-usable modules from scratch including unit test cases (using Karma/Jasmine).
• Experience in performance tuning of applications and writing high performance code  
• Experience in addressing quality / security issues in tools like SonarQube, Coverity, etc 
• Experience in secure coding 
• Candidate must have knowledge on configuring cms component as well as creating custom UI components and mapping them to cms components.
• Candidate must have knowledge on configuring spartacus module, which includes custom UI components, routing and service.
• Candidate should have knowledge on configuring spartacus template and defining sections based on page slots.
• Implement Adobe tagging for created UI components.
• Must have knowledge on working with angular library components and developing components within angular library. 
• Candidate should be able to perform code reviews and provide suggestions on code refactoring
• Excellent knowledge and experience of Agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery with Jenkins 
• Strong believer of Agile Methodology and DevOps ideology 
• Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through on details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution 
• Must have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners, across different cultures and time-zones 
• Experience developing Mobile applications would be a plus 
• Collaborate effectively with a team of development engineers, QA/Testing, Build, and Project Management 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience ) :

• Familiarity with usage of Jira, Confluence, etc. 
• Cloud based development (using Azure) 
• Familiarity with using SAP ECC or other ERP application 
• ITIL practices 
• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, applied mathematics or engineering is required and Master’s degree would be preferred. 
• Minimum of 9+ years of experience with software development and support of ecommerce applications 
• Candidates with relevant certification in UI / UX skillset would be preferred 
• Candidates with Aviation related application development background would be preferred. 
• Candidates with experience in SAFe Agile methodologies would be preferred 

Typical Education & Experience:

• Typically, 8 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
