Job Description

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Experienced Equipment and Tool Engineer located in Tukwila, WA. Providing engineering solutions and process improvements, PM solutions, capitol purchase project management.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Supports the evaluation of program and project requirements for current and forecasted equipment and tool purchasing

  • Coordinates with multiple business partners and outside vendors for support and management of current and future equipment purchase, repair and maintenance

  • Assist with equipment repair troubleshooting

  • Write maintenance instructions per manufacturer guidelines

  • Develops moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System

  • Ensures compliance with safety, production, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements

  • Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares

  • Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel

  • Develops and implements moderately complex work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation

  • Supports studies for disposition of assets

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar Engineering degree.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

  • Experience supporting production equipment in an industrial environment.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
