This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we develop the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of software products that support Blue Origin's manufacturing, test, flight, and operations workflows. Our team builds the systems that capture what happens on the factory floor, at the test stand, and throughout vehicle processing, turning manual or inefficient workflows into reliable digital workflows and giving engineers the data they need to move faster and make better decisions. You will work across operations, manufacturing leaders, software engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to identify high value problems and ship software that solves them.

We are looking for someone who combines strong product fundamentals with the curiosity and technical depth to learn complex operational domains quickly and drive decisions in ambiguous environments. Passion for our mission and vision is required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for your domain that aligns to organizational objectives, secures stakeholder buy in, and enables Blue Origin to meet our goals for production and launch.
  • Customer Focus: Develop customer empathy and understanding of their day to day operations and problems to build a product that actually serves them. Regularly engage with aerospace engineers, manufacturing partners and operations teams to deeply understand their needs, gather feedback, and enhance the product experience.
  • Roadmap Development and Prioritization: Own the roadmap for your product area, making data driven decisions to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Product Delivery: Deliver high quality products on time and within budget. Define detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Use AI to quickly prototype and ship features, accelerating the pace of delivery.
  • Cross Functional Leadership: Lead cross functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch. Act as a product evangelist, drive adoption of product features and improvements, and align resources across teams to deliver on goals.
  • Technical Leadership: Understand and influence technical decisions and system architectures for your product area, evaluating emerging technologies for durable business value.
  • Performance and Metrics: Define, monitor, and report on key metrics to measure product success. Leverage data to make informed decisions, iterate on product features, and communicate insights crisply to leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of product management experience. Proven track record of managing products through their entire lifecycle from conception to launch and scale.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, make trade offs, and evaluate new ideas. Track record of influencing software architecture and design.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to leverage data for strategy, decision making, product prioritization, and impact measurement.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross functional teams without direct authority. Strong organizational and ownership skills.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, industrial operations, or a similarly complex technical environment is a plus.
  • Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
