This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.Launch Vehicle Manager (LVM)
About the Role
Blue Origin is seeking a Launch Vehicle Manager (LVM) to join our New Glenn GS1 booster Refurbishment Team. In this role, you will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of orbital spaceflight and scientific payload research. Demonstrating your ability to coordinate and complete sophisticated technical projects, you will orchestrate the refurbishment, upgrade, and pre-launch preparations of a New Glenn Booster, culminating in your Go/No-Go recommendation on readiness for stage integration and flight. Starting with a freshly-returned launch vehicle from spaceflight, you will help develop the schedule, coordinate assets, help lead the execution of post-flight vehicle health checks, be responsible for the execution of all planned and unplanned activities across the vehicle. You will iterate upon the published detailed plan to achieve flight-readiness of the launch vehicle by the manifested launch date. This will include working closely with dozens of technicians and engineers on both overall strategic flow management, as well day-to-day tactical planning. You implement the plan and react swiftly to emergent issues.
This job is based in Cape Canaveral, FL.

Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of demonstrated technical expertise in the operation or maintenance of aerospace, marine, automotive, or ground support systems in one or more of the following subject areas: propulsion, pneumatics, cryogenics, avionics, hydraulics, life support, test engineering, launch operations
- B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field
- Outstanding technical communication abilities, both written and verbal, to wide audiences of varying backgrounds
- Unwavering dedication to “doing every job right”, no matter how small
- Strong planning, organization, and coordination skills in a real-time operations environment
- Ability to solve multiple subsystem issues while maintaining situational awareness of the integrated system impacts
- Ability to support occasional off shift work schedules during launch campaigns
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our inclusive culture
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of demonstrated technical expertise in the operation or maintenance of aerospace, marine, automotive, or ground support systems in one or more of the following subject areas: propulsion, pneumatics, cryogenics, avionics, hydraulics, life support, test engineering, launch operations
- Experience operating or maintaining crewed (human-occupied) vehicles in aerospace, land, or marine environments
- Experience developing, writing and updating operating procedures
- PMP certification

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
