This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will play a key role in coordinating procurement activities that support facilities maintenance and operations. This position is responsible for creating and managing purchase requests, tracking purchase orders, and verifying receipt of materials and services to ensure efficient operations and timely invoice processing.
Working closely with Facilities leadership, the centralized purchasing team, and the facilities inventory team, this role helps ensure the materials, equipment, and services needed to support mission-critical operations are requested, tracked, and received efficiently. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining safe, reliable, and well-supported facilities operations.
Responsibilities
• Create and submit purchase requests (PRs) for facilities materials, equipment, and services with accurate descriptions, quantities, cost centers, and supporting documentation.
• Track purchase requests through the approval and purchasing process and coordinate with the centralized purchasing team to ensure timely issuance of purchase orders (POs)
• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on order status, delivery timelines, and fulfillment to support operational needs.
• Verify receipt of materials and services within the procurement system to ensure accurate and timely invoice processing.
• Partner closely with the Facilities Inventory Specialist to align purchasing activities with inventory levels and operational demand.
•Maintain organized procurement documentation including purchase requests, receipts, and supporting records.
•Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement requests are complete and aligned with facilities maintenance schedules and operational priorities.
• Assist with tracking procurement activity and providing visibility into purchase request and order status for Facilities leadership.
• Identify and communicate potential procurement delays or material constraints that may impact facilities operations.
• Support continuous improvement of procurement workflows within the Facilities organization.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience supporting procurement, purchasing coordination, inventory operations, or facilities administration.
• Experience creating purchase requests or working within procurement or ERP systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in procurement documentation and order tracking.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment supporting facilities or maintenance operations.
Preferred
• Experience supporting facilities maintenance, construction, or technical operations environments.
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Maximo, Coupa, or Ariba.
• Experience working with inventory management processes or material tracking systems.
• Experience coordinating with centralized purchasing teams.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar tools for tracking procurement activity.

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
