Job Description
Job Mission
The FLS PE is responsible for providing first-line troubleshooting support to ensure uninterrupted production output for EXE RS work center. This role uses hands-on troubleshooting with structured problem-solving methodologies to address complex technical challenges, escalates issues when necessary, and drives continuous improvement through documentation, analysis, and collaboration. The FLS PE also supports tooling and product SPC (Statistical Process Control), manages disturbance notifications, and works closely with quality teams to maintain and improve material review processes, ensuring optimal product flow and minimal disruptions. The FLS PE is typically responsible for one work center.
Job Description
The employee is working for Tuesday to Saturday shift 7:00am-4:00pm
Spends about 75% of time in the Cleanroom providing direct support to production processes and troubleshooting
Provide efficient response to troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues
Provide efficient response to troubleshoot glass to metal bonding issues
Provide efficient response to troubleshoot electrical cable routing issues
Provide efficient response to troubleshoot module test and final qual issues
Provide efficient response to troubleshoot tooling and test stand issues
Develop OCAPs (Out of Control Action Plan), Fishbones and troubleshooting guidelines
Support diagnostics qualification and implementation for production staff
Evaluate and disposition failed parts with proposed solutions
Support development of manufacturing procedures and technical work instructions
Support design and document reviews for diagnostics
Support DOA Root Cause Analysis
Support cycle time and labor hours roadmaps implementation
Support PFMEA
Able to read optical, mechanical and electrical drawings
The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment:
full gowning (full body coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves and safety glasses. Working under ISO 9000/14000 standards).
Working around overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet movers.
Working around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals.
Education
Bachelor of science in a technical field, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics preferred with 2+ years of experience in a technical production or manufacturing environment
Masters Degree in a technical field Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics preferred engineering with 2 internships in a technical production environment
Experience
Working knowledge with epoxy application in opto-mechanical designs
Working knowledge with mechanical assembly and alignment
Working knowledge with mechanical tooling and test equipment
Working knowledge with epoxy dispensing equipment
Working knowledge with epoxy processing and curing
Working Knowledge in detectors, electro-optical devices and opto-mechanical constructions
Experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes
Experience in the field of technical Production Engineering and quality methodology such as statistical process control and FMEA is a plus
Working knowledge of Siemens NX, Teamcenter and SAP is a plus
Working Knowledge in image/signal /data process algorithm, statistics and software development is a plus
