ArianeGroup GmbH in Bremen is looking for a ‘FDIR & RAMS Engineer’ for the department ‘Upper Stages System & Products’ with immediate effect for 2 ½ years.

Your main tasks and activities:

  • Ensure correct definition of Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) requirements to equipment

  • Ensure correct implementation of FDIR mainly for Avionic equipment

  • Ensure correct implementation of FDIR into On-Board Software

  • Establishing Hardware-Software Interaction Analysis (HSIA) Analysis

  • Follow software supplier to ensure that RAMSs requirements are well taken into account during the development.

  • Ensure that all RAMS related risks are identified and mitigated, thus guarantying that RAMS performance is reached.

  • Establsih different RAMS Analysis for Space Vehicles System level

  • Assess RAMS performances

You have the following qualifications:

  • You have an university or university of applied science degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent

  • You have a strong FDIR and RAMS background and are familiar with the SAVOIR handbook and ECSS standard

  • You are experienced with safety regulation

  • You have experience with avionics and software for space vehicles

  • You know how to lead meetings and gather relevant information

  • You work systematically and you are well organised

  • You have strong communication skills

  • You have the ability to work in a team and in a transnational organisation

  • You are a team player with very good knowledge of German and English

Few more words about our site of Bremen

This site, located on the outskirts of the Hanseatic city of Bremen in north-west Germany, has specialised in the development and manufacture of the upper stage of the Ariane launchers since the start of the programme. Its experts are responsible for the design, development and final integration of the Ariane 6 upper stage. They are also developing the Astris Kick Stage, an additional upper stage powered by the future reignitable bi-propellant engine called Berta, which will further enhance Ariane 6’s versatility. The Bremen site also produces metal tanks for the orbital propulsion systems.
