Compensation
$146,000–$193,000/year

Job Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Enterprise Applications Engineering team supports Anduril’s mission by providing scalable, reliable, and secure internal technologies that enable employees to work smarter and faster. From designing solutions that automate workflows to managing foundational SaaS applications, the team ensures that employees across functions have the tools they need to drive impact and innovation.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to own and optimize Anduril’s internal software, automation processes, and governance frameworks. In this role, you will implement scalable, secure solutions for Anduril’s SaaS ecosystem while improving identity management workflows, automating manual processes, and evaluating future technologies to support rapid business growth. You will collaborate with teams across the company, proactively identifying opportunities to simplify systems, minimize risk, and drive operational excellence—all while ensuring adherence to security and regulatory standards critical to our mission.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Act as the single owner for M&A application ecosystems, managing roles, permissions, and integrations while serving as a trusted partner to employees navigating platform usage.
  • Lead large-scale IT operations projects, proactively identifying risks, managing timelines, and delivering scalable solutions.
  • Plan and execute migrations from SaaS tools, including email system migrations and integrations, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal disruption to operations. Utilize expertise in MX/DNS configurations to manage email systems effectively and troubleshoot integration challenges across platforms.
  • Automate user lifecycle management processes, including onboarding/offboarding workflows, SCIM integrations, REST API utilization, and compliance-driven controls for least-privilege access.
  • Assess and improve application performance by creating automation processes that eliminate recurring manual tasks using tools like Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Okta Workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Security, Compliance, and Operations to align enterprise applications with organizational goals while identifying systemic impacts and opportunities for long-term improvements.
  • Develop and implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, focusing on SSO, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and zero-trust security frameworks through Okta or equivalent tools.
  • Administer and manage a diverse portfolio of SaaS tools, including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Confluence/Jira, Zoom, Airtable, and others, ensuring seamless integration across Anduril’s internal systems.
  • Lead efforts to enforce governance standards across enterprise applications, ensuring systems maintain integrity, security alignment, and compliance with ITAR and other regulatory requirements critical to defense technology.
  • Own incident response processes for enterprise applications, leading critical troubleshooting efforts, documenting lessons learned, and implementing repeatable solutions to safeguard operational stability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and sandbox/test environments for evaluating new technologies and facilitating employee adoption.
  • Deliver white-glove support by building strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and prioritized

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of experience in IT Operations or Applications Engineering roles, including managing enterprise SaaS solutions and identity platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to design scalable governance frameworks and lead large-scale IT integration projects autonomously.
  • Proven experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms, including hands-on expertise with Okta, Azure AD, or Google Identity.
  • Technical proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash, with a strong background in creating streamlined workflows through REST APIs or SCIM integrations.
  • Experience managing IT incidents or technical risks with end-to-end responsibility for troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Confluence, and Zoom; ability to manage enterprise applications at scale.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while navigating ambiguity and delivering results.
  • U.S. Person status required (ability to obtain and maintain TS clearance).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Track record of leveraging zero-trust methodologies within IAM frameworks.
  • Advanced experience with Okta Workflows and Terraform for automation and configuration management.
  • Experience building robust onboarding/offboarding automations at scale, focusing on compliance and seamless provisioning/deprovisioning.
  • Familiarity with evaluating and implementing security-first workflows for highly regulated environments.
  • A solid understanding of IT security principles, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, ITAR), and experience supporting audit initiatives.
  • Hands-on expertise with hybrid cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure in enterprise contexts.
