The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.

VIE Main Requirements:

• European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old

• Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any

The contract duration of VIE is between 6 to 24 months.

A VIE for a Junior Buyer has arisen within Commercial Aircraft / Airbus Asia Pacific in Singapore. You will join the Procurement Team.

You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic Region of the world in a role covering the full range of Airbus products and services ranging from Commercial and Military Aircraft and Helicopters.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

• Support the Regional Manager in developing the Procurement function in the Region, in line with generic rules, processes and values of Airbus

• Prepare the project plan and supporting documents for the digitalisation of ways of working for General Procurement

• Conduct a thorough analysis of existing APAC Procurement processes to identify all critical manual trackers (e.g., tracker sheets for supplier performance) currently maintained outside the official e-Procurement system, and to replace it through automation where possible

• Develop targeted training materials and user guides focused on leveraging the system's full potential, ensuring users abandon manual workarounds in favor of standardized, efficient digital processes.

• AI Proof-of-Concept: Research and propose new uses for Generative AI (GenAI) and other emerging technologies to enhance buyer productivity, such as automated Request for Proposal (RFP) preparation, improve spend categorization accuracy or develop supplier query resolution chatbots.

• Contribute to managing supplier relationships

• Contribute to proactive management of the relationship with internal business partners to ensure target level of customer satisfaction for the Region/Divisions. 

• Support the Regional Manager in driving and monitoring change management, to ensure a successful implementation of Procurement in the region and ensure the buy-in of the internal stakeholders.   

• Ensure regular two-way communication with key functional and local customers on Procurement needs, expectations and initiatives.

• Support requestors through awareness sessions (Procurement process explanations…).

• Support on the daily procurement requests 

• Support negotiation with suppliers

 

This role may involve some travel for business within the Asia Pacific Region  and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You have the following skills and experience:

● Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Procurement/Supply Chain or a related discipline.

● Existing experience in Procurement and/or digital transformation-related roles would be a bonus.

• Technical Systems Proficiency: SAP, Microsoft Office, Google

• Workspace applications. Some experience with e-Procurement systems such as Coupa and/or data visualisation tools is a bonus.

Un poste d’Acheteur Junior en VIE est à pourvoir au sein d’Airbus Commercial Aircraft / Airbus Asia Pacific à Singapour. Vous rejoindrez ainsi l’équipe Achats.

C’est pour vous l’opportunité de travailler dans une région du monde dynamique sur un poste stratégique et opérationnel couvrant la gamme complète des produits et services Airbus allant des avions commerciaux et militaires aux hélicoptères !

Vos challenges :

Vous serez en charge des activités principales suivantes : 

• Soutenir le développement des Achats de la région Asie Pacifique avec le Manager Régional, suivant les règles, processus et valeurs associés au poste

• Préparer la planification du projet d'améliorations des tâches pour les achats généraux ainsi que le support de documentation

• Conduire une analyse avancée des fichiers manuels de suivi pour la fonction Achats en APAC utilisé en dehors du cadre digital e-Procurement (exemple: fichiers manuels de suivi de la performance des fournisseurs) et les remplacer potentiellement par de l’automation

• Développer des documents de formation ciblée et des guides pour utilisateurs, encourageant notamment l’abandon des fichiers de suivi manuels, afin de maximiser l'utilisation des systèmes digitaux standardisés.

• Rechercher et proposer des cas d’utilisation d”Intelligence Artificielle Generative (GenAI) et autres technologies émergentes pour ameliorer l’efficacite des acheteurs, comme le développement d’appels d’offre automatisé, l'amélioration de la précision des volumes d’achats ou le développement de robot pour résoudre les demandes venant de fournisseurs.

• Contribuer à la gestion des relations commerciales avec les fournisseurs

• Participer activement à la gestion des relations commerciales avec les partenaires internes afin d’atteindre les objectifs de satisfaction client pour la Région/les Divisions.

• Assister le Manager Régional dans l’évaluation et la conduite du changement, pour intégrer avec succès les activités des Achats dans la région en assurant l’adoption de ces pratiques par les parties prenantes en interne.

• Entretenir des échanges bilatéraux réguliers avec les principaux clients internes et locaux concernant les besoins, les objectifs et les initiatives des Achats.

• Organiser des sessions de sensibilisation avec les parties prenantes (explication des processus Achats, etc.).

• S’assurer du bon déroulement efficace des opérations. Les acheteurs doivent répondre aux standards de qualité, délais et coûts opérationnels attendus par la société et les règles des Achats Généraux.

• Participer à la gestion des requêtes des Achats au quotidien.

• Support de négociations avec les fournisseurs.

Des déplacements professionnels dans la région Asie Pacifique pourraient être à prévoir, assurez-vous d’être en mesure de voyager.

Votre carte d’embarquement :

Diplôme et expériences requis :

• Titulaire d’un diplôme d’école de Commerce/Management/Ingénieur en Achats/Supply Chain ou discipline liée (ou équivalent).

• Une expérience passée en Achats ou en projet de transformation digitale serait un plus.

Compétences requises :

  • Suite Microsoft Office / Suite Google Workspace

  • Une expérience en utilisation de e-Procurement comme Coupa ou d’outils de visualisation est un plus
