Hours: 37 hours per week (half-day Friday) 

Type: Full-time 

Grade: F

Salary: £49047.00

Travel Required: Occasional 

Work Location: Site-based 100%

The Opportunity: 

The MRB (Material Review Board) Engineering Team provides real time support to the operations functions to ensure the safety and structural integrity of our products in the event of product non-conformances. In this role you will work closely with a highly skilled and motivated Design & Stress team where will you learn and develop towards gaining various technical approvals.  

 

Being located within easy reach of the production facilities allows you to gain intimate knowledge of the products and associated manufacturing processes which is essential to the role.  

 

Contributing to the wider business as part of a multi-functional team will not only provide you with a better understanding of all aspects of engineering such Design, Stress, Manufacturing, Operations and Quality but will provide you with the skills and knowledge that enable you to grow both personally and professionally. 

 

How you will contribute to the team: 

  • You will review and approve the work of Structural Analysis team members and contractors, ensuring all outputs meet customer expectations and quality standards. 

  • You will select and apply appropriate Structural Analysis methods and techniques for specific work packages, aligning approach with technical and programme needs. 

  • You will define and communicate structural requirements for assigned work packages, ensuring clarity and consistency across the team. 

  • You will evaluate Structural Analysis tools and methodologies for use within the Business Unit, making informed recommendations to senior management. 

  • You will act as a coach and mentor to junior Structures Engineers, supporting their technical development and professional growth. 

 

 

About you: 

  • Graduate in Engineering discipline 

  • Practical or equivalent recognised experience in applying tools, techniques and the use of specialised equipment 

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Company Procedures and standards relating to engineering, health & safety and environment
