Pioniq is a deeptech start-up emerging from the historical “ESPCI” school in Paris known for having graduated famous French researchers like Paul Langevin and Frédéric Joliot-Curie and hosted no less than 6 Nobel prizes. Following a long-standing tradition in the discovery of innovative materials, the Pioniq team aims at developing and selling disruptive energy storage solutions based on quantum materials. At Pioniq we are convinced that energy storage technologies need not only to be efficient but also perfectly in line with the greatest human challenge of all-time concerning Earth climate and must respond to sustainability and recyclability criteria. After years of fundamental research in quantum solids, the team is proud to present a new class of Li-free, Co-free, Ni-free solid-state energy storage devices powered by quantum matter phase transitions. The Pioniq solution departs from existing technologies for energy storage as it is composed of abundant, recyclable and price-stable elements based on solids derived from the well-known perovskite family.
